From Our Community to Your Table

Food gives us a reason to gather, a way to care for one another, and something meaningful to share. A favorite recipe can introduce us to a new tradition, bring back a memory, or become the beginning of a conversation.

Curated by Priscilla Kreft with contributions from community members, the Jefferson County Community Cookbook was created as part of the 2026 Connectivity Summit. It brings together recipes and reflections on wellness, celebrating the knowledge and nourishment we can offer one another.

Inside, you’ll find comforting meals, fresh salads, homemade dressings, and treats—from lentil curry and family-style pinto beans to nettle pesto and sesame cookies. Many recipes include estimated costs, preparation times, and suggestions for making them your own.

This collection carries the spirit of the Summit into everyday life: learning from our neighbors, sharing what we know, and creating opportunities to connect. We hope it inspires you to try something new, cook with someone you love, or invite another person to your table.

Download the Jefferson County Community Cookbook below and bring a little community connection into your kitchen.
