ABOUT

This event is presented by The Production Alliance in partnership with WSU Jefferson County Extension and local farmers, with support from Jefferson County Farmers Markets, Jefferson Land Trust, The Food Co-op, The Port of Port Townsend and the Chimacum Corner Farmstand.

The 2026 Farm Tour will take place on September 19th and 20th, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Please join us!

Our Mission:

Celebrate locally grown food, fiber, and farm-made products.
Invite community members to learn from and engage with their local farmers.
Stimulate economic opportunity for farms in Jefferson County.

WHAT IS FARM TOUR?

The Jefferson County Farm Tour is a self-guided, two-day celebration of local agriculture, inviting residents and visitors to explore working farms across Jefferson County. Meet your local farmers, discover how food and fiber are produced, enjoy farm-made products, participate in workshops and demonstrations, and experience the diversity of our local farming community. From family farms and orchards to flower growers, livestock producers, and artisan makers, the Farm Tour offers a unique opportunity to connect with the people and places that nourish our community.

WHY ATTEND?

The Farm Tour offers a rare chance to step beyond the farm gate and experience the people, passion, and hard work behind the food we eat. Whether you're shopping for locally grown products, learning a new skill through a hands-on workshop, exploring beautiful rural landscapes, or simply spending a memorable weekend with family and friends, every stop helps support local farms and the future of agriculture in Jefferson County. It's an opportunity to discover, learn, and celebrate the community that grows our food.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

The Jefferson County Farm Tour is a self-guided journey through the county's working farms.

How it works: You are free to create your own route and visit farms in whatever order and combination suits you and your schedule. Maps and farm details are available ahead of time so you can plan your day (or weekend).

What you'll find:

Farm visits -- Each participating farm has its own character, offerings, and things to see, from livestock and crops to on-site food and live music at select stops.
Workshops -- Hands-on sessions and demos are held throughout the weekend, covering various agricultural topics.
Farm Tour Central -- Think of this as home base: a central hub where you can pick up maps, ask questions, and find out what's happening where.

Whether you're a longtime local or coming to Farm Tour for the first time, there's no wrong way to experience it.

With farms spread across the county and parking limited at some locations, sharing a ride makes for easy travel.

PLEASE
NO DOGS

For biosecurity and livestock safety, pets are not allowed on tours. Keep pets in your vehicle if traveling with one. Trained, handler-controlled service animals are welcome.

ADA
ACCESSIBILITY

Many factors affect accessibility at each farm (i.e., terrain, ground conditions, etc.). Farms have self-selected if they are ADA accessible. For additional information, such as route recommendations for persons with disabilities or special needs, please contact reilly@theproductionalliance.org.

Volunteer onsite will provide brochures and maps, collect donations and orient tour-goers.

This stop serves as the main information hub and donation checkpoint for Farm Tour. Receive maps, event brochures, route recommendations, and up-to-date details on the weekend activities. Merch available for sale. Come by and say hi!

Farm Tour is free and open to all, thanks to public donations and sponsor support.

Suggested donation: $10/car—no one turned away.

Donate once for the whole weekend at any farm on the tour or at Farm Tour Central.

Finnriver Farm & Cidery 124 Center Road, Chimacum A family-owned organic farm known for its craft ciders, scenic taproom, and lively community events set among orchards and pastureland in Chimacum Valley.

Chimacum Workhorse Project 124 Center Road, Chimacum A farming initiative that uses a team of Amish-trained Belgian draft horses, John and Jim, to explore growing food with minimal fossil fuel inputs.

Friends of the Trees 124 Center Road, Chimacum Friends of the Trees Botanicals grows and wild harvests a diverse range of medicinal herbs, trees, shrubs, hedgerows, berries, vegetables, and culinary herbs — even using "weeds" like dandelion as crops. Short's Farm 1720 Center Rd, Chimacum Publicly owned multi-tenant farm. Participating tenants include: •The Grainery, an organic family farm, stone mill, wood fired bakery and craft micro-brewery. •One Straw Ranch, a small family-owned farm specializing in 100% grass-fed and pasture-raised beef, lamb, and pork, and farm fresh eggs. •Community Wellness Project, a local non-profit founded in 2007 to improve health, nutrition, and food systems for local students and families. •Community Works, a local non-profit with hands-on training and mentorship for teens and young adults, with a focus on construction and woodworking projects.

Learn with local herbal care makers about botanical distillation, harvest fresh lavender, load the sill, and experience the distillation process firsthand. Leave with a 1oz glass bottle of distilled lavender hydrosol from the day's harvest. In partnership with The Fay Farm and Motsi Rituals.

The Hedgerow by Cruising Climate | 3059 7th St, Port Townsend

What is soil? Is it the same as dirt? Why should I care about it? How can I care for it? How does it affect my plants? If you've asked yourself any of these questions, this class is for you. We will explore basic soil science, how healthy soil grows healthy plants, and soil's connection to water-wise habits. You'll leave with answers to the above questions and a basic plan for how you can care for your own soil throughout the year.
