Nurturing Local Talent

The Emerging Artists Program brings new, young, and local performers into the spotlight by pairing them on stage with well-known regional entertainers within their genre/practice and connects them with professional development opportunities in our community. Off the stage the Emerging Artist facilitates collaboration and mentorship

between new and established artists, supporting development of their careers and connecting them with potential mentors and industry professionals.

The Emerging Artists is part of The Production Alliance's commitment to fostering a creative community in this Jefferson County.

MEET OUR EMERGING ARTISTS

Ember Brightheart

Ember shines as a rising star in The Production Alliance’s Emerging Performers program. Born and raised in Jefferson County, they captivate audiences both as a solo artist and alongside their family band, The Shift, with emotive vocals and masterful ukulele playing. A true multi-hyphenate, Ember brings boundless creativity to every endeavor—whether dancing across the stage, painting vibrant canvases, tumbling through gymnastic routines, or capturing the world through photography. Their joyful spirit and remarkable versatility mark Ember Brightheart as one of our community’s most exciting young talents.

Cloroform Rags

New to the stage but already igniting Port Townsend Pride, Cloroform Rags is a fearless four-piece punk powerhouse in The Production Alliance’s Emerging Performers program. Comprised of guitarists Ben and CJ, bassist Millie, and drummer Morgan, these teens fuse raw energy and defiant spirit into anthems that reverberate long after the last chord fades. Whether cutting their teeth at The Nest’s youth open-mic nights or shredding the main stage together for the very first time, Cloroform Rags prove that punk’s future is loud, proud, and decidedly youthful.

Tyranny

At just 16, Jay Tyranny brings irresistible charisma to The Production Alliance’s Emerging Performers stage. A Port Townsend–based actress, musician, and drag artist, Jay lights up every venue they grace—whether belting out ballads, commanding the dance floor, or dazzling audiences in full drag regalia. Fresh off their standout turn as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors with Key City Public Theatre, Jay returned to Pride captivating us all once again.

Vertigo

At 20 years old, Vertigo brings fierce artistry and heartfelt liberation to The Production Alliance’s Emerging Performers stage. A Port Hadlock–based drag and burlesque artist since age 13, she’s celebrated for her handcrafted costumes, magnetic presence, and unwavering commitment to queer joy. When she’s not commanding the spotlight, Vertigo can be found at her sewing machine, designing show-stopping ensembles, or hosting an all-ages drag showcase at The Charleston in Bremerton. As a special guest at Pride, Vertigo invites us all to revel in creativity, resilience, and the transformative power of queer liberation.
